The largest electric thruster in the Max Power range, the VIP 150 electric is a vertically retracting DC thruster.

The 48 volt version of the VIP 150 Electric is particularly well suited to boats from 45' to 60'.

The VIP150 48V is the first vertically retractable thruster in the market powered by a highly efficient 48V motor. This thruster model is an ideal solution for high performance sailing yachts or multi hull sailboats equipped with 48V electric propulsion, as it can be supplied from the same battery bank minimising the weight of the installation and the cost.

Advantages of 48V

• The increasing popularity of environmentally friendly boats with 48V electric propulsion required the development of thrusters running at the same voltage.
• Operates from 48V house bank batteries, an option which will provide space and cost savings for the boating community as smaller wires will be needed for the installation
• A 48% decrease in amperage consumption and 50% increase in operation cycle, in relation to the 24V equivalent variant which makes it a cost efficient solution (smaller cables, supply from the same home batteries which results in lower installation costs)
